- Sandiganbayan allowed Mike Arroyo another travel pass on a 19-day Europe trip
- Last February, he was also allowed to travel to Taipei
- The prosecution argued against the motion stating that Arroyo didn’t even cite the reason and urgency for the trip
The Sandiganbayan 7th Division gave former First Gentleman Jose Miguel “Mike” Arroyo another travel pass. This time, it will be on a 19-day Europe trip.
Last February, he was granted a travel pass to travel to Taipei.
State prosecution protested the motion and argued that the motion didn’t cite any reason. Their statement was quoted by GMA saying that the trip “is utterly devoid of any reason why he wants to travel in these countries.”
The Sandiganbayan gave an assurance that Arroyo’s P90,000 travel bond will guarantee his return.
Arroyo and 19 others are accused of graft charges over an alleged anomalous purchase of PNP’s two helicopters back in 2009.
