The election gun ban in connection with the election period for barangay and SK polls started on April 14.

NBI’s Task Force Against Illegal Drugs operatives discovered illegal drugs, drug paraphernalia, live ammunition and identification cards in Jonathan’s bedroom and one caliber 40 pistol in his car.

Jonathan reportedly attempted to flee the arresting officers but was cornered.
