After more than two decades, Sharon Cuneta and Gabby Concepcion will be back on the big screen in 2017!

On Facebook, Cuneta confirmed that they will start shooting for the movie this coming January.

“I finally have a leading man. Yes, it’s really happening. Everyone, I am happy to announce the return of Sharon and Gabby on the big screen! Shooting begins January 2017. Tentative showing month May 2017!” the actress wrote.

A lot of fans commented on Cuneta’s post; expressing happiness and excitement that the famous love team will be making a film again. To note, the two last worked with each other for the 1992 movie Tayong Dalawa.

“It brought back good memories. My mom, she’s a big fan. We camped outside your house in Makati and so happy you came out and Gabby even carried me on his shoulders. We went to your house in Baguio, I was so young, barely started school I think. Thank you. Memories I have with my mom that I will never forget and both of you of course,” expressed Facebook user M.V.

“I will surely watch this reunion movie with you and old flame Gabby Concepcion here in the San Francisco Bay Area. I will invite my friends to see it at the Tanforan Shopping Mall….Gonna be a block buster movie for sure. Looking forward to watching it with friends!” said J.W.

“Wow! What a beautiful Christmas gift to all your fans. Thank you very much. We will be looking forward to the amazing ShaGab movie in 2017!” wrote E.V.

The team-up of Cuneta and Concepcion was one of the most successful love teams in the ’80s. They fell in love and got married in 1984.

The two, however, did not live happily ever after. The marriage was annulled after a few years.

The former couple, who legally separated in 1987,  have a daughter, KC Concepcion.
