CORNWALL, England – A new male fragrance promises to drive females ‘wild’ as it claims to bottle the world’s smelliest plant; nicknamed the “corpse flower”.

Tom Bevan mentioned in his article for the Mirror Co UK that the people behind the Eden Project revealed that the new perfume has been inspired and will feature the dominating scent and essence of the infamous titan arum.

Amorphophallus titanium, also known as the titan arum, is a flowering plant with the largest unbranched inflorescence in the world. Due to its strong odor, which is like the smell of a rotting animal, the titan arum is characterized as a carrion flower and is also known as the corpse flower or corpse plant. The rare and striking plant originates from the forests of Sumatra, Indonesia.

The unique scent, which has been named Eau de Titan and has been compared to ripe camembert, a dead rat, and rotting fish, was officially launched on June 15.

An article by iTV said that the new campaign is designed to draw attention to the rare plant, and hope that the new scent will take the world of designer fragrances in “a bold, completely new direction.”

During the perfume’s launch at the Eden Project, a short video advert shot in the Rainforest Biome was shown in an ad that seemingly reflects the classic aftershave and perfume commercials.

“With Eau de Titan we are boldly going where no perfumer has gone before by creating a unique essence from something so pungent,” said by Eden spokesman.

“By doing so, we are not only challenging men to wear the most heady fragrance imaginable but we are also telling the story of this rare and fascinating plant,” the spokesman added.

The spokesman said that the Eau de Titan would appeal to men who want to copy the plant’s powerful appeal and at the same time, feel the strength of the divine titans of Greek myth.

“The distinctive odor attracts insects brilliantly so it stands to reason it should work on people too,” the spokesman said.
