“I was crying”: Dimples shares her daughter was bullied for being different

Dimples Romana admitted that she got really emotional when she found out her daughter Callie was being bullied in school.

The actress became an emotional mother when she shared with Boy Abunda on his late-night talk show that Callie eats alone during lunch breaks. Romana revealed that her daughter told her one day that she looks at the field while eating so she won’t feel alone.

Callie further explained that her friend told her she didn’t have time for lunch; only to find out later that she decided to eat with another student.

Romana revealed that her daughter was bullied for being different. She said, “She has brown eyes so niloloko daw siyang vampire siya.” [She has brown eyes so she was ridiculed and called a vampire.]

The mother admitted it was devastating to hear the pain her daughter endures. She said, “Hindi ko iniyakan ng doon. I was being strong for her. But when I went inside the room with Boyet and I was crying.”

“And I’m like: ‘Ang hirap pala nito kasi iba pala ‘yung pain na mararamdaman mo if it’s your child and you can’t do anything about it,” Romana added. [It’s very hard because you feel the pain for your child and you can’t do anything about it.]

The Bagani star is happily married and aside from Callie, she also has a baby boy named Alonzo.
