- 7 people were killed while 811 others were arrested in anti-illegal drug operations nationwide during the Holy Week
- 4 of the deaths are from Region 3 and one each from Regions 4-A, ARMM and 12
The Christians’ Holy Week didn’t stop evil doers to do their thing as well as the Police force to do their jobs as seven drug suspects died while more than 800 were arrested during the past week.
PNP chief Director General Ronald “Bato” Dela Rosa said in a press briefing that from March 28 to April 1, four drug suspects from Region 3, one each from Region 4-A, ARMM and Region 12 died in police operations.
811 drug suspects were also arrested nationwide, with 333 coming from the National Capital Region (NCR) during the same week.
“Five days lang [only], pito ang patay sa [7 died in] police operations, 811 ang arrested and operations conducted 505, meaning there was no letup in our anti-drug operations during the Lenten season,” Bato said.
