A man was killed after a shootout with the forces of Quezon City Police District Station 4 who were conductin an “Oplan Galugad” Friday midnight, just before the election gun ban.
The still unidentified man reportedly fired at the policemen in Geronimo St., Barangay Sta. Monica.
The man was inside a parked car with three other people in the area.
According to the police, shooting incidents have recently occurred in Geronimo St.
When the cops went to check the parked car, the group opened fire and sped away.
The incident resulted to a car chase and ended at the Calalang Compound.
Two were arrested while two managed to escape.
One of those who escaped was chased by the cops and he allegedly fired at the policemen.
It was then that the unidentified man was killed.
A calibre .45 handgun was retrieved from the dead man’s hand.
The two arrested will undergo a tactical interrogation, the authorities said.
